Rapper JADAKISS has reached a plea agreement in his ongoing marijuana and gun possession case, allowing him to walk free if he abides by the law for the next three months.
The hip-hop star, real name JASON PHILLIPS, will have all the charges against him dropped if he stays out of trouble.
He was given a deferred prosecution on the charges at a hearing in North Carolina yesterday (24MAR05).
Jadakiss was charged in Fayetteville, North Carolina last summer (04) after a club performance. An off-duty officer stopped the rapper's vehicle after he saw someone throwing fireworks from the window.
During a search of the vehicle he found marijuana and a pair of loaded pistols.
Under yesterday's plea agreement, Jadakiss paid $900 (GBP474) to cover a fine and court costs. He also agreed to destroy the guns, submit to searches and drug testing at the request of a probation officer, not use or possess illegal drugs and not break any North Carolina laws.
He is due back in court on 14 June (05).
