Despite U.S. complaints to the contrary, Mexico President Vicente Fox says his nation is doing a good job rousting drug lords.

Recent borderland violence prompted the United States to charge Mexico wasn't doing enough to fight organized crime.

But, Fox says things are going the government's way in the arrests of drug lords and the squeezing of their smuggling routes,

We are not going to let our guard down and we are going to continue with more force than ever in attacking the cartels, the money launderers and the drug producers, he said.

The war for supremacy among drug leaders in and around the cities of Matamoros, Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo is a product of (government) success, Fox said.

We've had success in grabbing the biggest bosses of the biggest cartels. What we are seeing are family killings. They are exterminating each other.

Fox and U.S. President George W. Bush meet next Wednesday in Waco, Texas.
