Teenage star Lindsay Lohan has admitted taking drugs - while also lashing out at her troubled father.

The 18-year-old US actress said she 'experimented' with marijuana because her cocaine-addict father, who is suing for a share of her earnings, put her off harder drugs.

'If I hadn't seen how cocaine f***s your life up I may have gone a different route,' said the star of Freaky Friday.


She said she did not enjoy the cannabis and denied it led to her collapse last year, which she blames on exhaustion.

'All my dad ever did was go out and not come home at night and make my mom and me worry then show up three days later,' said Lohan.

'When I heard Dad was suing me for alimony I was like, ''I was never married to you!'' What was it for - abandonment?'

If Mr Lohan's legal bid is successful he could receive £1.5million a year.
