Two Lawerence, Massachusetts fire department employees have been put on administrative leave after being caught drinking beer and snorting cocaine while on duty.

The Eagle Tribune newspaper reported that the department is investigating misconduct allegations involving sex, drugs, and alcohol.

The fire chief declined to discuss the content of the tapes, which were shot in secret on Wednesday night and early Thursday in his department's communications center. He confirmed that the tape was a key part of an investigation he ordered after he received an anonymous tip that employees were doing drugs, drinking, and engaging in sex while getting paid to respond to emergencies throughout the city.

The names of the two employees are being withheld. They were allegedly caught on tape with two civilians, who are not generally allowed into the fire alarm headquarters without authorization.
