Zamfara, Nigeria A teenage mother reportedly under 17 years of age was flogged 100 times with a cane after being convicted of premarital sexual intercourse. She had no legal representation at her trial. None of the three married men she accused of coercing her into having sex with them was charged, tried or punished.
