A factory worker and a lorry driver found guilty of trafficking 27.65 grams of heroin have been hanged. Singapore's tough anti-drug laws mandate death sentence for anyone guilty of possession of more than 15 grams of heroin, 30 grams of cocaine or 500 grams of cannabis. Of the 370 executions are known to have been carried out since 1991, at least 250 have been convicted of drug-trafficking.
